The active form of glufosinate is acid and this acid has low solubility. For that reason all comercial products are formulated as salt. Always is neccesary describe the relation between glufosinate as ion with glufosinate as salt. The most common relation is that 200 g.a.i of glufosinate as ion are equivalence to 276 g.a.i as ammonium salt.
